Jeanne Peterson, 82, of Sawyer, Michigan died Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Country Manor in Bridgman, Michigan.
Jeanne was born May 20, 1926 in St. Joseph, Michigan to William and Eloise (Crolius) Pfauth. She lived in Sawyer her entire life and was the 1943 Valedictorian of Bridgman High School. Jeanne was employed as a bookkeeper at the Sawyer Truck Stop for many years and was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Three Oaks. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and caring for her home. Jeanne loved her grandchildren and was very proud of them all.
Survivors include her children, Gary (Carol) Peterson of Cadillac, Michigan; Mark (Linda) Peterson of Austin, Texas; Brian (Joneen) Peterson of Whitehall, Michigan; Lauri (Kent) Lindquist of Sawyer; and Jack Peterson of Sawyer, grandchildren, Jennifer, Laura, Kelly, Nina, Rachel, Joshua and Micah; and her brothers, Francis Pfauth of St. Joseph; Jerry (Alice) Pfauth of Longmount, Colorado and Mike (Pat) Pfauth of Saginaw, Michigan. Her husband, Elmer Gordon Peterson preceded her in death in 1982.
