Jeanne “Jane” (Benoit) Lundigan, 98 formerly of Carriageway Drive, Fitchburg, died peacefully Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at The Highlands, which was her home for the past three years. She was born August 9, 1910 in Fitchburg, MA daughter of Ernest and Delia (Martin) Benoit. Mrs. Lundigan had worked at E.I.Dupont Co. for 45 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Leo’s Church, and the Leominster Senior Citizen’s Center, and was an avid card player. She is survived by one brother, Clarence Benoit of Florida and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Lundigan, who died in 1984, three brothers Ernest Benoit and Raymond Benoit of Fitchburg, MA, Lawrence “Larry” Benoit of Saco Maine, two sisters, Irene Lomme of Fitchburg and Rita LaManna of Ohio. In her unique way, she touched the hearts of many new friends and caregivers.
