Loving wife, mother, grandmother and godmother
Jeanne was born on May 15, 1921 in Frenchville, Maine to the late Joseph and Glorieuse Ouellette. She grew up on the family farm in the house her grandfather, Numa LaChance built. There she helped with daily chores, learned how to crochet, knit and sew beautiful gifts.
She was the loving wife of the late Normand D. J. Cyr for 65 years. They were married on January 5, 1946 at St.
Jeanne loved to cook, bake, read novels, play cards with family and friends and write letters to her nieces, Ronny Cyr and Debbie Sieminski.
To cherish her memories, she leaves behind a son, Leonard J. Cyr and his wife Charlotte of Watertown; a daughter, Norma A. McGrath and her husband, James P. McGrath II of Prospect; a grandson, James J. McGrath II of Prospect; two godchildren, Joseph “Gregory” Daigle of Moodus and Veronica L. Cyr of Paso Robles, California and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jeanne was predeceased by all her siblings: SR Anne Marie Ouellette, Edna (Ouellette) Ouellette, Lily (Ouellette) Dumond, Dorilla “Dola” (Ouellette) Daigle, Gloria “Bea” Ouellette and Rosario “Rio” Ouellette.
We wish to thank Maryanne Diprimo for providing Jeanne with countless number of books to read which she enjoyed while at Beacon Brook Health Center. Also, a heartfelt thank you to the Beacon Brook staff for providing her with comforting care.
