Jeanette Kay Gauna Age 60 of Ovid passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018. A memorial service will be held 1pm, Monday, April 2, 2018 at Nelson-House Funeral Homes, Owosso Chapel with Pastor Fritz Kruse officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11am until the time of service.Jeanette was born December 18, 1957 in Owosso, the daughter of Pete and Barbra (Mahoney) Dyer.She graduated from Owosso High School and earned an Associate Degree from Baker College in Human Resources. Jeanette was an avid Detroit Lions and University of Michigan Football fan. She loved camping and spending time with family; especially her grandson Bryson whom she devoted her life to watching. Jeanette was passionate about helping women who were victims of domestic violence. She spent most of her life assisting those women with shelter, recovering from abuse, homelessness and drug addiction.She married Antonio Gauna in Chesaning on August 26, 1996.Jeanette is survived by her husband Tony; children Brent, Kristin and Jordon; grandson Bryson; siblings Diann Kissey, Gary Dyer, Dean (Jackie) Dyer, Paul (Jill) Dyer, Darin Fockler, Lori (Brad) ReVord; many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.She was predeceased by her mother and father.Memorial contributions are suggested to the family.
