Jean Schott, 95, of Ottawa died Friday night, October 18, at the Ottawa Pavilion.
Jean was born on Feb. 10, 1924 in Ottawa to Michael and Ethel (Macomber) Looney. She was a graduate of St. Xavier Academy, and was employed at McLellan’s in Ottawa. She married Albert “Bert” Schott on Jan. 30, 1941 at. St. Columba church. He died on Nov. 28, 1991.
Jean was a life-long member of St. Columba Church. She is survived by one son James (Ruth) Schott, of Ottawa, 4 grandchildren: Tracee Nichols, Jim Schott, Jr. Adam Schott, and Tom Schott, 5 great-grandchildren: Drew, Owen, Dylan, Carter, and Harper, and one Sister, Virginia Hill, of California. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter Nancy Short, 6 sisters, Margaret Looney, Catherine White, Mary Fowler, Jane Raub, Teresa Schomas, and Edith Schomas, and 2 brothers, Michael and Patrick Looney.
