Jean C. Sano, of Columbus, NJ, passed away on October 17th, in the Samaritan Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mt. Holly. Born in New York City on May 12, 1920, she was a graduate of Straubenmiller High School.

She retired from Lockheed Electronics in North Plainfield as an Office Manager of the order writing department with over 30 years of service. Jean was a member of St. Paul’s R.C. Church in Burlington, the Homestead Line Dancing, Garden and Craft Clubs. Her creative talents were reflected in her beautiful ceramics, 3-D art, gardening, her love of cooking, and in later years in her scrapbooking for her great-grandchildren. Her family and faith were her life. She dedicated it to passing on her love, grace, and character to her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She celebrated their successes and was always there to support them through any difficult times. Her life will remain a part of them and those whose lives she touched.

Jean was predeceased by her husband, Robert, the love of her life, her parents, Erasmo and Francesca Cardinale, her brother, John Cardinale, and her sister Sara Spezio.

She is survived by her loving daughters and son in law: Joyce & Robert Dore of Hopewell Township, NJ, Jean Fritz of Piscataway, NJ, her three grandchildren: Cindy J. Olah and her husband Tim, Kathleen R. Dore and Erik S. Thackston. She is also survived by her two great-grandchildren: Nathan and Tyler Olah as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jean also leaves her very dear friends; Helen Hughes, Marge Restivo, and Lois Mount.
