Jean Rosamond Leonard, age 87, of Gainesville, VA passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 at the Novant Haymarket Medical Center. She was born on August 28, 1929 in Haymarket, VA the daughter of the late James L. and Gertrude (Hensley) Leonard. She was a retired school teacher for the Arlington County Schools. She was a member of the Gainesville United Methodist Church and a member of the National Teachers Association. Survivors include her four siblings, Dollie Hankinson and husband Gordon of Springfield, VA, Madaline Brenner and husband Curtis of Alexandria, VA, Walter “Sonny” Leonard of Manassas, VA, Deloris Geris and husband Richard of Manassas, VA; numerous nieces and nephews.
