Jean Marie Oberly, 72, of Grand Junction, CO, passed away quietly in her sleep early Sunday morning, June 17.
Jean Marie was a lifelong resident of the Grand Valley, raised on the Oberly family farm orchard on F-5/8 Road in Clifton. She attended Clifton area schools, graduating from Central High School in 1964. She attended Intermountain Bible College and Mesa College simultaneously, completing degrees at both colleges in three years time.
She served as a nurse for 37 years on the surgery/orthopedic floor at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Music was Jean Marie’s second simultaneous (volunteer) “career”.
Jean Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Evelyn (Allen) Oberly, and brother, Carl Oberly.
The family invites her many friends to join the celebration of Jean Marie’s life on Friday, June 22, at 11:00 a.m.
