An Albuquerque resident since 1959, Jean passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 28, 2022, at the age of 84. She was born September 22, 1937, in Indianapolis, Indiana as the only child of Raymond Robert and Helen Louise Knight Domroese. 

Jean graduated from Southport High School in 1955. She was an elementary school secretary and retired after 33 years from Albuquerque Public Schools. After retirement she enjoyed ironing for friends and caring for her little dogs. It brought her joy to watch her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren participate in their many activities. 

Jean was known for loving her family, having hundreds of pairs of shoes to match any outfit, collecting Americana, and her pride of her Indiana heritage. She is survived by her three sons: Michael Key of Irvine, CA, Bradley Key and wife Judy of Albuquerque, Douglas Key and wife Michelle of Monterey, CA; eleven grandchildren: Steven Key (Michelle), Jordan Key Guerra (Jonathan), Bailey Key (Veronica), Brady Key (Katharine), August Key, Addison Key, Chamberlain Key, Quincy Key, Amy Janoff (Michael), Bobby Schubert, and Alexis Lewis (David); sixteen great grandchildren: Elijah Guerra, Moriah Guerra, Ethan Key, Hannah Guerra, Sabrina Key, Selah Guerra, Avery Key, Brynleigh Key, Brooklyn Key, Penelope Key, Henry Key, Cody Janoff, Matthew Cisneros, Riley Lewis, Leia Lewis, and Quinn Lewis; cousins, and dear friends who also loved her very much. 

Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Art Key in 2020, father Ray in 1979, grandson Matthew Key in 1992, mother Helen in 2015, and grandson Christopher Key in 2017. 

Jean lived the last one and a half years of her life lovingly cared for by the staff of Westridge Village Assisted Living Home.
