Winsted: Jean E. Dougherty 75, formerly of Mt. View Terrace, died Saturday, December 6, 2008, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, after a short illness. She was the wife of the late James Dougherty. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY, July 29, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Dean) Hanley. Prior to her retirement, she had worked for Waring Products for 30 years. Her survivors include two grandsons, Eric Leger and Jeremy Leger both of Winsted, a sister, Margaret Fields of Torrington, a great grandson, Ian Leger of Winsted, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her children, James Dougherty and Patricia Leger; three brother, Charles Hanley, Jr., Edward Hanley, William Hanley; and a sister, Dorothy Newman.
