Jean Fitzgerald passed away at the age of 92.
She worked for the Union County Park Commission in the Recreation Department before retiring and residing for many years in Ortley Beach.
She was predeceased by her husband Edward and a brother Edward Brittain.
Mrs. Fitzgerald leaves behind her sisters Nancy Hembree of Cary, N.C., and Elizabeth Lafferty of Kenilworth, NJ., along with many nieces and nephews. She was an avid sports fan of the New York Mets and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.
