Jean D. (Henry) Szalay, 92, of Chandler Estates, Pen Argyl passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. She was the wife of the late Joseph Szalay. Born in Fountain Hill, she was the daughter of the late Katherine Marie Henry Holmes. Jean worked for Leh’s Department Store, Farr’s Shoe Store, IT & T Palmer Township and taught sewing to the Girl Scouts. She was a member of the Lehigh Valley Couturiere Society.
Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her son Thomas Brennan and his wife Michelle; daughters Kathleen Januszewski and Jeanette Pentasuglio and her husband Bill; step daughters Barbara Kercsmar and Diane Szalay; grandchildren Amber Brennan Whittle and her husband Mike, Kelsey Garofalo and her husband Joe and Andrew Januszewski and his wife Amanda; great grandchildren Hazel and Evie Whittle and Joseph Brennan Garofalo.
