Jean Agnes Henson, age 82, of Kalamazoo passed away on September 18, 2021. She was born May 24, 1939, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to the late Arnold and Elizabeth (Swiderson) Mitchell.
Jean was known for being generous. Over the years, she made hundreds of knitted hats and mittens for babies and children. She was also known to bring flowers, fruits, and vegetables from her garden to her neighbors. Jean worked as a bank teller at First National Bank and was always proud of balancing her drawer to the penny at the end of every day.
Jean is survived by her husband of 64 years, Allen “Al” Henson; daughter, Debbie (Rob) Pike; as well as special friends, Jack (Pam) Peckham, Don (Nancy) Wertz, and June Baker.
