Jean Adette Watkins age 72, of Ashland, died Friday December 9, 2011 at Kingston of Ashland. She was born January 20, 1939 in Albion, the daughter of the late Hugh Devere and Gail Lillian (Jelley) Ferguson. Mrs. Watkins had been a resident of Ashland County all of her life. She was a Homemaker and had been employed with Snelling & Snelling. Mrs. Watkins was a member of the Olivesburg United Methodist Church. She had been involved with the Boy Scouts for several years,. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and family genealogy.
On December 28, 1956 Adette married William Watkins who survives. Also surviving are her two daughters and son in-law, Barbara Lee Watkins of St. Louis, MO., Betty Lynn and Paul McKay of Jackson, MI.; her two sons and daughters in- law, Michael J. and Susan Watkins of Seattle, WA., Russell William and Jeanie Watkins of Columbus; five grandchildren; her brother, John J. Ferguson of Texas; along with her sister Janet Arlene Stubner of Pittsburg, PA.
