Jayne Elizabeth (Poe) McCord, 59, of Orlando, Fl passed away October 4, 2017 at the Florida Hospital East, Orlando, FL.
She was born on October 21, 1957 to Mike and Betty Poe in Anderson, Indiana. Jayne graduated from Anderson High School in 1975 where she was an Indianette for four years, her senior year, she was assistant head Indianette. Jayne attended Ball State University 1975-1978 majoring in Elementary Education.
Jayne married her high school sweetheart, Chuck McCord on April 15, 1978; they traveled extensively while he served in the United States Navy. She was a member of Genesis Church, Orlando, FL. She was a Controller with Carl Black Automotive, Orlando, FL and Nashville, TN for the past 14 years. Jayne gave the gift of life by being an organ donor.
Jayne is survived by her loving spouse, Charles “Chuck” McCord; mother, Betty (Gary) Hayes; children, Allison McCord and Kyle McCord; grandchildren, Elizabeth McCord and Ashlyn McCord; siblings, Cecelia Poe, Noxie (Curt) Byrd, Mike (Teresa) Poe, John (Leeann) Poe and Kevin Poe; step-siblings, Kim (Charles) Habekost, Terry Hayes and Steve (Jeri) Hayes; aunt, Kay (Dan) Wehner; special cousins, Mehgan (Kevin) Baird, Randy (Donna) Welch and David Welch; her Carl Black Family; mother-in-law, Anna McCord; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy Reed, Stephanie (Sam) Johnson, Dennis McCord, Douglas McCord; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Mike Poe; grandmother, Frances Anderson, father-in-law, Robert McCord, several aunts, uncles, and other grandparents.
