Jasper Paul Fuqua passed away on May 26, 2016. He was 88 years old. He was born to Roy and Ethel Fuqua in Columbus, Mississippi. He was a devoted and loving husband of 66 years to his beautiful loving wife, Deloris Fuqua. He leaves behind two children, Rodney Paul Fuqua, and Paula Deloris Syfrett, husband Rodney Syfrett; four grandchildren, Paul Syfrett, wife Christine Syfrett, Daniel Syfrett, David Syfrett andAlexander Rumfelt, and Dawn Fuqua. He leaves behind three great-grandchildren, Madison, Hunter and Bella. He is survived by one sister, Margaree Davidson and one brother, R.D. Fuqua of Columbus, MS.
His education started at Franklin Academy, S.D. Lee High School in Columbus, Mississippi. He later attended Mississippi State College in Starkville, Mississippi.
His military career started at Alabama National Guard, then to the U.S. Army, then to the U.S. Air Force as a civilian.
