Jason Reding, age 44, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and formerly of Whittemore, passed away on December 28, 2019 at the Ava’s Hospice House in Sioux Falls. Jason Richard Reding, the son of Richard and Rose (Frideres) Reding, was born on October 27, 1975 in Emmetsburg, Iowa. He graduated from Bishop Garrigan High School in 1994. Jason attended Iowa Central Community College where he received an Associates of Science Degree and an X-Ray Tech certification. In 1997 until 2007, Jason worked in Minnesota as an X-Ray Tech and was later certified as a MRI/CT Tech. He then went to work for Best Buy as a mobile phone specialist. In 2015, Jason moved to Sioux Falls where he was a Phlebotomist and eventually a scheduler at Avera Hospital until he went to work for Total Card, Inc. as a Customer Service Representative. Jason enjoyed being in the band and choir during his high school years. He had a love for cats. Jason was intrigued by the weather and was an avid Star Trek follower. Left to cherish Jason’s memory are his mother, Rose Reding of Sioux Falls, SD; a brother, Christopher Reding and his wife, Carla and their children, Cloee and Luci of Canton, SD; Aunts, Carol Reding, Barb Grandgenett, Margo Adams, Marilyn Frideres all of Algona, Laura Hudson, Alyssa Frideres both of Des Moines, Victoria Simonsen of Lyons, CO and Brenda Osborne of Gilbert, AZ; uncles, Don Frideres, Paul Frideres both of Algona and Wayne Frideres of Guntown, MS; many loving cousins and a longtime friend, Harmony Jacobson. He was preceded in death by his father, Dick in 2009; grandparents, Joe and Elizabeth Reding and Victor and Vienna Frideres; an aunt, Mary Frideres and an uncle, Dick Frideres.
