Jason “Jay” Edward Sims, 43, of Indianapolis died Tuesday, September 15, 2015 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
Jay was born March 27, 1972 to Joseph and Carol (Osborne) Sims, Sr. in Indianapolis, Indiana. He worked for the Buchanan Hauling and Rigging Compay of Indianapolis as a mechanic. He was an avid outdoorsman, where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping.
Survivors includes his wife; Melanie (Cox) Sims of Indianapolis, two daughters; Jessica (Casey) Sims-Cromer of Indianapolis and Brandi (Charles) Napier of Greenwood, son; Edward (Chelsea) Pickett of Mooresville, father; Joseph Sims, Sr. of Camby, two brothers; Josh (Holly) Sims of Greenfield and Joseph Sims, Jr. of Camby and six grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Carol (Osborne) Sims.
