What is normal for the spider is chaos for the fly. Jason D. Gallus was a thunderstorm looking to be felt and understood in a world that loves sunny days. He was independent, impulsive, deeply intuitive, and always wanted greater. In the evening hours of Tuesday August 18th, 2020, the unthinkable became the unspeakable, Jason passed away in a tragic accident in Philadelphia at the age of 28. We are certain that he is now at peace in heaven.

Travel isn’t always pretty or comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, even breaks your heart. That’s okay. The journey changes you. Jason grew up in Haddon Township, NJ, in a loving, big blended family. He spent time, over the years, in; New Jersey, Florida, New Mexico, California and Pennsylvania. He worked as a waiter, loved the beach, the outdoors and always found time for sports. Jason was an avid skate and snowboarder, surfer, and skier. At home he enjoyed old rock and roll, a little bit of country, and his guitar. Why had nobody told you how to unfold your love? How something controlled you, bought and sold you. The world keeps turning and your guitar gently weeps. With every mistake we’re learning, but still, your guitar gently weeps.

One day we will know how lucky we were to have known Jason with wonder, not grief. Some day we’ll meet again. Don’t know where, don’t know when but I know we’ll meet again some sunny day. Keep smiling through like you always do. Jason is survived and sadly missed by his mother; Pamela (nee Phifer) Gallus & her husband Anthony Pozzi, his father David Gallus  & his wife Bernadette and his siblings; Danielle, Alexandra (Thomas),  Amanda (Mathew), Julian (Robin), James (Lauren),  Kristin (Robert) and Annemarie (Peter). Jason is also survived by and will be sadly missed by his maternal grandmother Catherine Schofield, paternal grandmother Marie Gallus as well as many  aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces,  nephews and friends.
