Jarvis Alexander Carr, 63, of Middletown, passed away on Tuesday, January 4th at Middlesex Hospital. Born in Norfolk, VA, he was the son of the late William and Zelma (Swain) Carr. Jarvis lived in Middletown for the majority of his life and worked for the City of Middletown for many years. He loved to walk and spend time in the Middletown Parks and was an avid Dallas Cowboy and New England Patriot fan. Jarvis was a kind person who was always willing to help anyone he could. He is survived by five sons, Jarvis A. Carr, Jr. of Ahoskie, NC, Maurice Parker of New Britain, Mitchell Carr of N. Providence, RI., Shamar Carr of Middletown and Ancen Singleton of Norfolk, VA; three daughters, Tora Outlaw, Sheena Outlaw, and Theresa Carr, all of Middletown; three brothers, William Carr of Richmond, VA, Percy Carr of Middletown, and Robert Carr of Queens, NY; two sisters, Shirley Brockers of Middletown and Brenda Carr of New Britain; five grandchildren; a very special friend, Carolyn Green and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Brenda Carr, two brothers, Thomas Swain and James Carr and a sister, Sarah Swain.
