Mrs. Janis Evelyn Harrell, 61, of Newnan, GA, died at home on Sunday, October 19, 2014. She was born September 18, 1953, at Newnan Hospital, daughter of the late Mr. Lennie R. McCoy and the late Mrs. Blanche Russell McCoy. She worked alongside her husband as a dedicated roofer until she retired and continued her duties as a homemaker. She loved fishing, card games, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
Janis is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, James Franklin Harrell; three daughters and a son-in-law, Tina Poore, Rachel and Ray Foster, and Pamela Harrell; grandchildren, Christy Cornett, Adam Poore, Andrew Kacos, Maci Kacos, and Owen Foster; great-grandchildren: Emily Poore, Dylan Cornett, and Landon Poore; brothers and sister-in-law, Donald McCoy, Bobby and Mary McCoy, James McCoy, and William McCoy; sisters and brother-in-law Mary Wright, June and Pete Money; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother Lennie McCoy.
