Janina (Zochowska) Raczkowski, 94, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Amberwoods of Farmington. She was born in Sokolow Podlaski, Poland, December 3, 1926, and she immigrated to the United States in 1977. Janina was an expert seamstress and fabulous cook and baker. She loved spending time at the beach, but most of all she loved and adored her family. She is survived by her three sons: Andrzej Raczkowski and his wife Leokadia of Southington, Jan Raczkowski and a longtime family friend Jorge Nieves of Bloomfield, and Roman Raczkowski and his wife Gina of Portland; her three granddaughters: Alexa Mason and her husband Matthew of Glastonbury, Monika Riley and her husband Wells of Glastonbury, and Nina Raczkowski of Southington, and her three great-grandchildren: Dylan Mason, Reese Mason, and Evelyn Riley. Janina was predeceased by her husband Szczepan Raczkowski. Janina’s family would like to extend thanks and gratitude to the staff of Amberwoods of Farmington and staff of Compassus Hospice Care.
