Janice M. Rollins, 78, life long Fairmount, Indiana resident died on Monday, March 17, 2014, at Miller’ s Merry Manorin Marion, Indiana.

Born Friday, October 4, 1935 in Fairmount, Indiana, daughter of the late Bernard C. and Elizabeth (Wills) Stroup. She was a 1953graduate of Fairmount High School. Janice and her husband J.A. celebrated 60 years of marriage. They were married on October 30, 1953 in Fairmount. Janice went to work at RCA 1957 and retired after 33 1/2 years as an inspector. She was a member of the RCA Sympathy Club, the Fairmount Church of God, and the Red Hat Club.

Janice attended and taught the Tuesday Morning Ladies Bible Study at Fairmount Wesleyan for several years. She took art classes from John Pattison and became a gifted painter and artist. She would draw or paint on anything she could get her hands on. She enjoyed Crocheting, Knitting , Reading, Painting, and Zen-Tangle Art.

Surviving are son, Ronald (Mary) Rollins of Ft. Wayne, IN Daughter, Rhonda Knutson of Ft. Wayne, IN, Brother, Dennis Stroup of Marion, IN, 3 grandchildren: Elizabeth Rollins, Netherlands Ryan J. Knutson, Ft. Wayne Andrea G. Knutson, Ft. Wayne 1 Great-grandson; Ethan J. Knutson, Ft. Wayne.

She was preceded in death by a sister Eva Marie Leavitt in 2006, son-in-law, Jeff Knutson in 2006, grandson Brian James Rollins in 2008 and brother Richard “Dick” Stroup in 2009.
