Janice Irene LewisMarch 16, 1927 – November 20, 2014Our beautiful mother passed away on Thursday, Nov 20th from heart failure. She died peacefully, at home, surrounded by loved ones. Janice was born on March 16, 1927 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Albert and Audra Wirsching. Janice and her younger sister, June, were raised in Twin Falls by their grandmother Nellie Griggs. Janice graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1945. She wrote the Class Song and was known as “The girl with the beautiful red hair”. Soon after graduation she married Seaman Don Palmer from Rupert. They had 2 children, son Pat and daughter Carol before moving to Boise in 1952. She created a warm and loving home for her family and was incredibly supportive and involved with her husband’s career at the M&W grocery stores and at her children’s schools. She was president of the PTA and a girl scout troop leader for many years. Janice was born to be a mother and their 3rd child, Nancy arrived in 1961.
