Janice “Marquita” Henning, age 77, of Wheatfield passed away Tuesday evening at St. Anthony Medical Center Crown Point, IN. Marquita was born on January 8, 1933, in Gary, Indiana to Bernard J. Goodwin, Jr. and Clara Alice (Shea).
She graduated from Tolleston High School in 1949. On April 24, 1954, Marquita married Michael J. Henning who survives. The two of them moved to Wheatfield, IN 36 years ago. Most recently she owned and operated sewmuch4retirement.com, an instructional video business that taught people how to sew.
Marquita also survived her daughter Janice (Joseph D.) Roebuck, North Judson. 2 sisters: Wanda Buxton and Wanona Kelly. Brother Gary (skip) Goodwin, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a very dear friend Carol Moberg.
