Janice E. Butler, the daughter of Carl L. and Marvel M. (Hitchler) Clement, was born June 10, 1940 in Newton, Iowa. She was a graduate of Newton High School in 1958.
On September 17, 1961, Janice was united in marriage to Jerry L. Butler in Newton. She was a devoted wife and mom working at home taking care of her family.
Janice was preceded in death by her father, Carol in 1991. Those left to honor her memory are her husband, Jerry; her three daughters, Jolene Berstler of Newton; Julie Criley of Kansas City, Missouri, Jane Butler of Newton; her two grandchildren, Calvin Waskow and Maddison Berstler, both of Newton; her mother, Marvel Clement of Newton; her sister and brother-in-law, Caroline and Ed Rasmussen of Newton; and two special friends, Terry McGinley of Kansas City and Rod Warnke of Newton.
