Janetta C. Katynski, 82, of Hanover Township, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013 in St. Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem. She was the wife of Nicholas Katynski. They celebrated 55 years of marriage last November. Born in Sankertown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Erma (Walbeck) Pender. Janetta was a 1949 graduate of Conemaugh High School. She worked for Lee Hospital in Johnstown and later for the former Lehs Department Store in Bethlehem. Janetta was a member of East Hills Moravian Church in Bethlehem. She loved her family, knitting and music. Survivors: her loving husband, Nicholas and children, John Holder and his wife, Janet of Bethlehem; Bruce Katynski and his wife, Lisa of Nazareth; Nicholas “Skip” Katynski and his wife, Cathy of Lehighton; Craig Katynski of Bethlehem; Lara Zellner and her husband, Jay of Emmaus; a sister Joann Fisher of Johnstown, Pa. and ten grandchildren, Brian and Kelly, Marcus, Kyle and Colin, Jade and Tanner, Brady, Madi and Kole. Brothers, Bill, Jack and Bob Pender and sister, Dorothy Hazlett all died earlier.
