Janette W. (Janet) Brown, 90, of Plainville, formerly of West Hartford, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 14, 2011 at Apple Rehab.
Janet was born in Hartford on April 6, 1920, the daughter of the late Kendal H. and Thyra (Anderson) Brown. She was raised in Middletown, where she attended local schools, and was a 1938 graduate of Middletown High School. She held a longtime career with the Traveler’s Insurance Company, retiring in the mid 1980’s after more than thirty years of employment.
She is survived by her nieces, Barbara Helmecki of NC; Cheryl Welch of MA; and Marsha Kraft of Plainville; and her nephew, David L. Brown of Plainville; along with many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, David Brown.
