Janet B. Toombs, 94, of Middletown, passed away peacefully August 22, 2020 at the Middletown Nursing & Rehab Center.
She was born on March 7, 1926 in Louisville, Kentucky and sowed her oats living in different areas of the country throughout her life. Janet graduated from Holton High School in Ripley County, Indiana and retired from Delco Remy in 1982 after 30+ years of service. She was a sassy, loving, caring, and loving mother. She adored her family more than anything and always made sure to make people laugh when she was around.
Janet is survived by her loving children, Mark (Linda) Aleshire, Diana (Kevin) Padgett and Samuel (Anita) Aleshire; grandchildren, Jeremy (Jaime) Aleshire, Amy (Jeff) Myers, Jason Aleshire, Chris (Kimberly) Michael, Ashley Aleshire, and Sarah Aleshire; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester “Chet” and Aletha Rogers; first husband, Albert Aleshire, second husband, Roy L. Toombs; and her brothers, Joseph Williams and Jesse Williams.
