Janet Southard Honeycutt was born in Durham, NC to Arthur and Maude Southard. She passed peacefully at home in Meridian, ID after a brief battle with cancer.
Janet married her childhood friend and playmate Haywood P. Honeycutt; they were married for 43 years.
They started life together in NC and through the Air Force moved to Kansas and Mountain Home. They loved Idaho and settled in Boise in 1968.
Janet lived her last 14 years in Meridian as a widow. She kept very busy with her family, yard, and beautiful garden.
Janet grew to love and appreciate good wine, thanks to her grand-daughter Bridgette. She was a member of the Treasure Valley Wine Society. She also enjoyed her annual trips to Walla Walla in the fall with her daughter, Cheryl and grand-daughter Bridgette.
Janet was preceded in death by her husband and oldest daughter Lisa Darr. She is survived by daughter Cheryl Gibson (Bud), son H.P. Honeycutt (Wendy), 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, brother Art Southard (Suzanne), and cousin Ann Howard of NC.
