Janet T. “Cotton” Ellisor, age 89, of Escanaba passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017 at the Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba.

Janet was born July 21, 1927 in Gladstone, the daughter of Harry and Helen “Lola” (Boyle) Lundin. She was raised in Gladstone and graduated from Gladstone High School in 1945. Janet was united in marriage to James D. Ellisor on August 23, 1947 in Gladstone.

Janet enjoyed traveling, reading, watching the Packers, winning at Trivial Pursuit and doing crossword puzzles.  She loved spending time with her family and enjoying lively conversations about current events.  She had a surprisingly sharp wit with wisdom to match, which benefited us all.

Janet was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and worked as a teller at Delta County Credit Union for many years.

Janet has eight children; sons, Jim (Sharon) Ellisor of Hayden, ID, Rick (Sharon) Ellisor of Gladstone, Bob Ellisor of Adams, WI, and John (Laurie) Ellisor of Matthews, NC; her daughters, Connie (Pete) Moss of Rowlett, TX, Elizabeth (Betty) Ellisor of Escanaba, Jean Ellisor of Atlanta, GA and Pat Ellisor of East Tawas, MI; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and nieces and nephews, and many other beloved extended family and family friends who were welcomed to gather around the kitchen table of our humble home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brothers, Red and John Lundin, her sister, Sal Etten and an infant sister.

The family would like to thank the Bishop Noa Home for all their care and compassion.
