Janet Ann (Nelson) Cofoid, 85, of Oglesby, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022, at the LaSalle County Nursing Home. Janet was born March 28, 1936, in LaSalle to Albert and Grayce (Mann) Nelson.
She worked for Illinois Power in LaSalle and was the LaSalle County Treasurer. Janet married Wendell Cofoid on October 6, 1962, in Tonica. She was a member of the Deer Park Community Church, Home Bureau, Deer Park Cemetery Twp, and Utica library board. As well as a church organist, secretary, and treasurer.
She is survived by her husband, Wendell; two children, Timothy (Kathleen) Cofoid of Ottawa, Laurie (George) Rieuf of Marseilles; three grandchildren, Jacob Rieuf, Aidan Cofoid, and Zachary Cofoid; a sister, Mary Kay Clark of Ottawa; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Grayce; a sister, Connie Terselic; and two brothers-in-law.
