Janet Carol Allgeyer, age 60, of Cornell, passed away Thursday morning, February 23, 2017, following injuries sustained in an automobile accident in the Cornell area.
Janet was born December 4, 1956, in Pontiac, MI, the daughter of Garry and Janet (Allen) Johnson. She was raised in Ortonville, MI and Cornell, MI and was a 1975 graduate of Perkins High School. Following high school, Janet was employed at Northern Michigan Veneer where she worked for many years. On July 18, 1992, Janet was united in marriage to Albert Allgeyer, in Rapid River, and together the couple made their home and raised their two sons in Cornell. In recent years, Janet was employed at Wal-Mart, in Escanaba, where she built many lasting friendships. Janet was a kindhearted, gentle person who sought the good in everything and everybody. She loved sewing and would often attend sewing classes with several coworkers. Janet enjoyed exploring the outdoors.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Carol Johnson and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
