Jane W. Bouhuys, 75 of Port St Lucie, Florida, went on to be with the Lord with her family by her side on Saturday, June 5th, 2021. She was a Faithful, Beautiful Christian woman who loved the Lord, her family, and the church.
Jane was born on September 4th,1945 in Indonesia to the late Johan and Juliana Wigeri Van Edema. Her family immigrated to the Netherlands before moving to the United States, settling in Massachusetts. She came from a large family that included, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Jane attended High School, and later met her beloved husband, Chris. They were married for 55 years before his passing in April 2020. She devoted her life to her children and family.
Jane loved traveling with her husband. She traveled across the globe from Europe to Africa to Asia. Her special place to travel with her husband was their homeland, Indonesia. Jane loved to shop in the markets. She loved to purchase anything that was handmade by the locals. She was known to purchase barrels of rice and fresh eggs from the street markets and donate the food to local charities.
Jane had a love for all animals and made it a point to care for any animal that crossed her path. She truly had a generous, giving heart. She loved the Lord and her family more than anything. She left a personal imprint on all those who met her – She was genuine and did her best to always show God’s Love, Grace & Joy throughout her life’s journey.
Jane is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Christoffel Bouhuys, both parents, and her 3 brothers, Emiel, Errol, and Ronald.
She is survived by her loving children, Melody Roode (Husband, Brian Roode), Arthur Bouhuys, Christoffel Bouhuys (Wife, Lynda Bouhuys); grandchildren, Christian, Kayla & Everly Faith; siblings, Caroline Dembrowski, Evelien DaSilva, Rosa Pariury, Annette Selby & Charles Wigeri Van Edema; and many family members and friends.
