Jane (Read) Ksiazkiewicz, 80, of LaSalle, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Jane was born on January 18, 1936, in Scituate, RI on a seven-mile road to Herbert and Ruth (Cole) Read.
She married Robert Ksiazkiewicz on April 14, 1956 in Pawtucket, RI. She was the owner and operator of Polar Bear Ice Company and Polar Bear Convenience Store. She bowled in the area for more than 40 years and was also an avid card player and cubs fan.
Mrs. Ksiazkiewicz is survived by her four children, Wayne (Debra) Ksiazkiewicz of Johnstown, CO, Donna (Jason) Bennett of Virginia Beach, VA, Paul (Laurie) Ksiazkiewicz of Houston, TX and Luan (fiance Don Reuter) Zaller of Ohio, IL; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Colardo of Coventry, RI.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Bruce in infancy; three brothers, Robert Read, Gordon Read, and Kenneth Read; and one sister, Beverly Papa.
