She graduated from Balmoral Hall School in Winnipeg and earned a degree in nursing from the University of Manitoba. In her married life in Toronto she nourished her growing family with love and devotion. She was active in the parish life of Grace Church on-the-Hill and Little Trinity Anglican Church. She was the consummate hostess; her gourmet dinner parties were a vibrant mix of conviviality, debate, and laughter. Her great intellect was exhibited in her tremendous love of reading, her appreciation of the arts, and her wide-ranging travels. Her love of blue and white porcelain stemmed from a year’s stay in Japan. Joyful travel included summers with family at Victoria Beach, Manitoba, sojourns to France and Italy, and multiple trips throughout the USA and Canada. In Atlanta, Jane’s resilience in the face of life’s challenges was sustained by her ever-growing faith. She launched her “House Angel” business where she staged and “fluffed” for all her lucky clients. She had such a flare for design.

In August 2004, Jane met her great love, David, on a blind date. She caught his attention by memorizing golf trivia! She was immediately embraced by the Albright family and had to quickly learn how to ride on the back of a Harley-Davidson. Her bridge cards were summarily shelved for the game Phase 10. One of their special bonds was that they were both children of clergymen. They moved to their beautiful, historic home in Newnan, Georgia. There they welcomed the “Party on the Veranda”, the Newnan Youth Council, the arts community, book clubs, friends and neighbors, wedding parties and house tours. Their porch was a haven for parade watching, al fresco dining, and catching up in a comfortable rocking chair. Jane’s mornings always started with coffee, devotions, crossword puzzles with David, and despite failing health, brisk walks with her dog Lacey. She would ignore any pain to lift up and hold close her treasured grand-babies. Jane’s extraordinarily generous spirit leaves us with her lasting legacy of joy, laughter, her love of family and friends, and a courageous resolve to embrace all that she saw as blessing. Her love for David knew no bounds and their marriage was distinguished by an abiding friendship, unwavering commitment and an enduring faith.
