Jane (McDonald) Johnson, age 80, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17 at Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth. Born in Marshfield, Wisconsin, Jane was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sylva McDonald. The family moved to Des Moines, Iowa, and Jane graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1952. She graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in textiles and clothing in 1956. While in college, Jane met her future husband, Robert Johnson. They were married in 1957 and had two daughters, Kimberly Jensen and Stacy Johnson. They moved to Bethlehem in 1970 and lived there until moving to Moravian Hall Square in 2005. Jane was a devoted caregiver to Robert, who battled multiple sclerosis for many years. She enjoyed visiting her daughters in Wisconsin every fall, and treasured the special friendships she had with so many wonderful people in the Bethlehem and Lehigh University community. Her family would like to thank Janes amazing caregivers, Beverly Pacala and Hagen Radcliffe, and the staff of Moravian Hall Square, for their care and kindness. Survivors: Jane is survived by her daughter, Stacy and her son-in-law, John Jensen. She is further survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and nieces and nephews. Jane was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert,her daughter, Kimberly, and her brothers, Thomas and Roger.
