James “Jamie” Weydert, age 42, of Algona passed away on April 21, 2021 at his home. James Herbert Weydert, the son of Harlan Nicholas and Julie Ann (Ruble) Weydert, was born on October 25, 1978 in Humboldt, Iowa. Jamie graduated from Bishop Garrigan High School in 1997. He then graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems. Jamie worked as a farmer and was a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church. He enjoyed computers, sports, boating in Okoboji, and music concerts.
Jamie loved Iowa State University, Notre Dame, family gatherings, and his pets Moxy, Boo, and Cocoa. Left to cherish Jamie’s memory is his mother Julie Weydert of Algona; father, Harlan Weydert of Bode; siblings, Christopher (Amber) Weydert of Algona, Jennifer (Pascal Pflumm) Weydert of Stuttgart, Germany and Corey Weydert of Ankeny; niece, Addison Weydert; nephews, C.J. and Kenny Weydert, Dominic, Porter, Liam and Dante Pflumm; Great Aunt Verla Ennen; Godmother, Betsy (Todd) Mortensen; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert and Esther Ruble and Nicholas and Carolyn Weydert.
