Jamie Jon Haan, age 40, passed away suddenly on November 23, 2015 at his residence in Portage. Jamie was born April 3, 1975 in Kalamazoo, the son of Menno and Judy (Hollander) Haan. He was a lifelong area resident and was employed as an HVAC technician with Schwartz Heating & Cooling. Jamie was an avid sports fan of the Chicago Cubs, Ohio State Buckeyes, Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Lions.
He had also enjoyed playing Little League Baseball as a youth and later playing softball and golfing. Surviving are his parents Menno and Judy Haan; his sister Jodi (Scott) DeVries and brother Joel Haan; niece and nephew, Rachel and Josh DeVries; and very special uncle John Haan. He was preceded in death by a nephew A.J. DeVries.
