James Lewis Wilson, Jr., 78, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on Friday morning, May 13. James proudly served his country for 28 years in the Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean conflict.
James is survived by Betty Joyce, his wife of 56 years. James and Betty have three children, Jim Wilson of San Jose, Costa Rica, Peggy Taylor of Anchorage, Alaska, Ken Wilson of Conway, Arkansas, and six grandchildren and one great grandchild. James is survived by five sisters, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
James enjoyed sports and military trivia, southern gospel music, and listening to his sons preach. His family will miss his sense of humor, and his love for his southern Alabama roots. The family is comforted by knowing that when dad stepped into the presence of His savior and Lord, he heard the words, well done, good and faithful servant.
