Obituary of James Walton Danhoff

James “Jim” Walton Danhoff age 92 passed away Monday, December 3, 2018 at Covenant Healthcare-Harrison. Jim was born March 9, 1926 in Saginaw, MI the son of William and Linda (Grunow) Danhoff. He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. Jim worked 37 years at Michigan Bell Telephone Company before retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, CWA, American Legion Post 439 and VFW Post 1566; also serving in the Honor Guard. Jim enjoyed golfing, reading, playing cards, photography and music. Most of all he enjoyed watching his children play sports.
Jim is survived by his six children; DiAnne Doyle, Jeffrey Danhoff, Leslie (Brad) Budzen, Robert (Leslie) Church, Jeffrey (Kelly) Church and Tracie (Ron) Lethorn, ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister in-law; Bonnie Danhoff and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his long-time companion, Shirley Church and siblings: Dale and Tom Danhoff and Connie Salow
