James W. Brundage 85, died March 2, 2015, at Elim Park in Cheshire, CT. He was born March 14, 1929 in Waterbury, CT. He was the husband of Barbara (Sills) Brundage for 61 years and was the son of the late Richard and Christine (Herman) Brundage. Jim was a life long resident of Prospect (except for his Naval Academy and Air Force years). A graduate of Prospect Community School and Crosby High School, he then attended Rennselaer Polytechnic Institute for two years before being appointed to the US Naval Academy. He received numerous awards for academic honors throughout his school years. He served in the military for almost 16 years. Jim was employed by Travelers Insurance Co. for 40 years as a Senior Accounting Safety Engineer. Jim’s passions were flying, skiing, biking, reading and enjoying vacations on Martha’s Vineyard. He had a great sense of humor and had a close relationship with relatives, and friends from the Naval Academy, Air Force and Travelers, He is survived by 5 children, Dawn Brundage of SC, David Brundage and wife Sarah of CT, Debra Robbins and husband Jeff of CA, Darlene McIntosh and husband Robert of TN, Darrell Brundage and wife Annie of TX. He leaves nineteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his son Darren, he was predeceased by four brothers; Robert Utenner, Richard, Robert and John Brundage, and two sisters; Lillian Barker and Betty Martin.
