James Tracy Magwood Sr. was affectionately known to everyone asTracy. He was the son of the late Archie and Joemimer Magwood. He was born on December 30, 1959 in Charleston, South Carolina. Tracy was educated in Charleston County Public Schools. He played varsity football all 4 years in high school and retired his jersey number “75”, when he graduated from Middleton High School in 1979. Tracy went into the US Air Force and he became a staff sergeant where he served from, 1980 to 1986. He worked at United Airlines from 1987, until he retired in 2016 due to illness. Tracy married his high school sweetheart, Yvette, January 26, 1985. They were blessed with wonderful children. James Tracy Jr. (JT), Trinnette, Jarell (preceded in death), Inglish, Nicolette, Thomas Masterson, and Courtney Parker. He assisted in nurturing his nephew, Brandon Singletary. Tracy was so full of life, everyone describes him as sociable, kind, sweet, gentle, protective, wise, compassionate, and extremely loving to all who lives he touched. He would always make sure to embrace with hugs, handshakes, and kisses. He was extremely family oriented, who loved and adored his wife, children, family and friends unconditional. Tracy accept the Lord in his life at an early age, and trusted the Lord to guide him through his life’s journey. On November 29, 2017 at 12:55 PM, the Lord called Tracy home from battling a long-extended period of illness and gave him peace. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife, Yvette Magwood of Herndon, Va; his children, James Tracy,Jr (MariJane Star) of Centerville, VA, Trinnette Frazier of SC, Jarell Magwood(preceded him in death), Inglish Magwood of Herndon, VA, Nicolette Magwood of Herndon, VA, Thomas Masterson of Centerville, Va, and Courtney Parker, of Reston, Va. Grandchildern, James T. Magwood, III of Centerville, Va; D.J and Jonathan Cunningham of SC; Sydney and Lauren Parker of Reston, Va. Siblings: Archie L Magwood “Buddy”(Dorothy) of SC, Geraldine (Gerri) Daniely (preceded him in death), Charles Magwood (Novella) of Texas, Jerome Magwood of, SC, Beverly Mellix (Neal) of SC; Aunt, Vanzie Lee Gilchrist of Charleston, SC; 2 sister in laws, Yvonne (Samuel) Gathers, Pamela Strader of SC; brother in law, Marc Singletary of Atlanta, Ga; Friends whom were like his brothers, Eugene Hollington and Jerome Harley both of Charleston, SC. Very special friends: Tracy Farmer of West Va; Gilma Leveane and Stephanie Thomas both of Va. A host of nieces, nephews, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, and friends.
