James Thomas Emeott, Sr., age 79 of Newnan, GA died on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Southwest Christian Care Hospice in Union City, GA. He was born in Hemlock, MI the son of the late Earl & Ella Richmond. He served in the United States Army from 1949 until 1953. He retired from Delta Airlines as a Pilot Ground Training Coordinator in 1987 after thirty three years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Newnan where he served as a Deacon Emeritus, sang in the VOE Choir and was part of the Earl Stewart Sunday School Class. He is remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He is survived by wife of over 60 years, Mary Anne Nation Emeott of Newnan, GA; sons, James “Tommy” Emeott, Jr. & his wife Dee of Newnan, Rev. Mike Emeott & his wife Cathy of Newnan, Rev. Bill Emeott of Nashville, TN; daughter, Sandra Emeott of Dublin, VA; brothers, Jerry Richmond & his wife Grace of Chesaning, MI, Melvin Richmond & his wife Eileen of Owosso, MI; sisters, Betty O’Brien of Port Charlotte, FL, Carol Richmond of Brent, MI, Barbara Webber & her husband Larry of Wellston, MI; sister-in-law, Emily Wallace & her husband Warren of Sanford, NC; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces & other members of extended family.
