James T. Wagner, age 91 of rural Tiffin, Ohio died at 3:45 P.M., Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at St. Francis Home, Tiffin, Ohio. He was born on January 23, 1930 in Tiffin, Ohio to Howard and Catherine (Scott) Wagner. He married Doris (Barnes) Wagner on September 28, 1952 and she died March 18, 1999.
Surviving are the following children: Kathy (Thomas) Ward, rural Bloomville, Ohio, Susan (Robert) Gawronski, Toledo, Ohio, Daniel (Lori) Wagner, Batavia, Ohio, Duane (Sarah) Wagner, rural Sycamore, Ohio and a half son, Walter (Joy) Witham, Bolivar, Ohio. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one brother, Dale (Shirley) Wagner, rural Sycamore, Ohio and a sister, Mildred Hall, Malvern, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Grant and William Wagner.
James was a retired farmer and also had worked 18 years at National Machinery, Tiffin, Ohio. James graduated from Melmore High School, was a member of Harmony United Church of Christ, member of Eden Grange # 2550 and a member of the Seneca County Farm Bureau.
For hobbies, James loved to play dartball, usually playing in several leagues. He also loved to bowl, go hunting, and do woodworking.
