James T. Griffiths, age 80, of Salem passed away at 11:30 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Center for Rehabilitation at Hampton Woods in Poland. He was born April 4, 1937 in Youngstown, the son of the late John and Anna (Bode) Griffiths. Jim worked for General Motors in Lordstown for 35 years and retired as a machine repairman. He was Methodist by faith, a member of the New Lisbon Lodge #65 F & AM, the New Lisbon Chapter #44, Salem Council #92, East Liverpool Commandery and the Salem Eagles. Jim was an avid reader and bicyclist and enjoyed his family and many hobbies and interests.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly J. (Brooks) Griffiths, whom he married December 1, 1958; a son, Kevin (Melissa) of Salem; a daughter, Cheryl (Dallas) Rozeski of Columbiana; a brother, William “Bill” (Ann) Griffiths of Ellsworth; 5 grandchildren, Brandi Wilson, Brooke Schumacher, Brynn Rozeski, Eric Corfee, Ashley Corfee and 8 great grandchildren, Brenyn Wilson, Bristol Schumacher, Bryce Schumacher, Alexia, Olivia and Breanna.
A sister, Elizabeth Lier preceded him in death.
