James Thomas Adair

 Ontario, NY: Passed away in hospital with family by his side on Friday, April 14, 2017.  James (Jim) Thomas Adair was born on May 4, 1940 in Warsaw, NY to the late Lorraine E. (Buckhout) Adair and late Warren Orrin (Scotty) Adair. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 53 years, Gail M. (Schroeder) Adair, brothers David W. Adair, Alan F. Adair, R. Charles Adair, and Stephen D. Adair, and nephew Blake C. Adair.  Jim is survived by his daughter Tracy May (Michael Lubes) Adair, son Kevin James (Tamara) Adair, grandchildren Emma M. Lubes, Cody J. Adair, and Ronetas D. Lubes, brothers Gerald R.(Mary) Adair and Paul R. Adair, nieces Susan (Rick) Widman, Tracy (Todd) Moody, Lorri (Josh) Norris, Cheryl (Scott) Allen, Jennifer Cooper, nephews Scott (Theresa) Adair, Jamison (Christine) Adair, Joshua Adair, his “adopted” little sister Aleta (Mike) Burri, and additional great-nieces and great-nephews.

 Jim graduated from Warsaw Central High School in 1957. He served in the US Army from 1958-1962. He was assigned to Company A, 1st Signal Battalion where he was a wire team chief and spent over two years in Germany, rising to the rank of sergeant before his honorable discharge. He returned to New York in 1962 and married Gail M. Schroeder in 1963. He worked at Kodak in camera film production from 1963 until he retired in 1991.

James loved to hunt and to fish on Oneida Lake or Lake Ontario. He also liked to work on cars and use his mechanical ability to fix almost anything. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed.
