James Steve Smith, 74, of Commerce, GA passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Smith; and brother, Christopher Michael Smith.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of fifty years, Sherian McClung Smith of Commerce, GA; mother, Nell Smith of Carrollton, GA; son, Mark Andrew Smith of Auburn, GA; granddaughter, Alivia Floria of Commerce, GA; and brother, Sammy (Angela) Smith of Carrollton, GA. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Mr. Smith was born on August 1, 1947, in Carrollton, GA.
He received his GED after serving in the United States Navy. He was self-employed in the construction industry, and enjoyed golfing, spending time on the lake fishing, and traveling. He loved grilling and spending time with family and friends. Mr. Smith was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Carrollton, GA.
