JAMES quot;JIMquot; RICHARDSON SINEATH, age 65, of Manassas, VA died Saturday, December 21, 2002 at Prince William Hospital, Manassas. Jim was born June 21, 1937 in Tallahassee, FL, the son of the late Ernest and Lola Sineath. He moved to the area in 1955 and was a 1956 graduate of Osbourne High School, Manassas where he was a member of the 1956 All-State football team. He served in the U.S. Navy and had a long banking career which started at Potomac Bank in Fairfax, later becoming the founding President of the Bank of Vienna. He was also a past president of the Bank of Amhurst. He ended his banking career before retirement at Patriot Bank in Manassas. Jim was a past-president of the Fairfax Chamber of Commerce and was also active in the Prince William County-Greater Manassas Chamber of Commerce. He was a volunteer with the Yorkshire Volunteer Fire Department and also the Manassas Volunteer Fire Department for a number of years. He was a former member of the Manassas Lions Club, the Manassas Jaycees, the Manassas Mens Club and was a regular at Maries Caf Roundtable group. Jim was actively involved with umpiring baseball for many years in the area, and was a certified umpire with local leagues and the GMBL. Preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Ernest quot;Redquot; Sineath and two sisters, Ernestine Strang and Frances Pace Layton. Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Lucy N. Sineath, one daughter, Jennifer P. Nealey and her husband, Michael A., of Woodbridge, VA and one son, Jamie Richardson Sineath, of Manassas. Also surviving is a host of other relatives.
