James Richard Ratner, 76, died on March 3, 2017, formerly of Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Beloved husband of Carol Lippard Ratner; loving father of Lisa J. Ratner of Washington, DC and Brian A. Ratner (Jamie Peyser) of Potomac, MD; and adoring grandfather of Noah and Lila Ratner. He was the son of the late Alfred W. and Gertrude “Tootsie” Ratner, and brother of the late Jane Ratner Werrin. Jim was a graduate and loyal alumnus of the University of Pittsburgh. Jim and his family were former owners of Greensburg Motor Company and Jim Ratner Oldsmobile. He proudly spent his whole career in the automobile business, working for many years with the Smail Family of Dealerships. His father and grandfather were founding members of Congregation Emanu-El Israel in Greensburg, where he previously served on the Board of Trustees.
